Usually the "so called" work experience situation flashes into one's life after university, after its acknowledgement of desired information, lifetime dreams. Planning, reading, university open-days start to create that sense of wish-fulfillment enabling to feel comfortable when tackling a desired goal from scratch. Advice coming from friends and parents shapes what usually we prefer, from mathematics in high school to drawing in art lessons directing intentions into something more concrete.
Enrichment of equations, never ending exams, quotes, management of stress and hangover awakenings become everyday routine for first, second and third year. After the graduation cap throwing tradition every student feels a little less stressed and a little less heavy having accomplished a more or less satisfactory grade for some and a very well done grade for others.
When job hunting starts, after going back home or for others simply staying in the city chosen for university, the ones that thought about how easy it would have been after committment and complete devotion to books and library rooms, find themselves a little too uncertain of the previous sensation. No jobs, no va
cancies, no opportunities; by all means you revised all those hours spent revising in halls was wasted. Some completely fortunate individuals just work for parents and find the job of their life living happily ever after. Some other, less lucky and maybe not in the right place at the right moment do not. Websites and job blogs for head hunters and all just seem all these people come across everyday. Not to be pessimist but just a little down to earth son, you should have chosen ingeneering or maybe dentistry in order to have all the desired money for a car and a nice house.
Then again one just gives up and after maybe 8-10 months of job hunting in the big agencies decides to give a try to that work experience that pays alright and fot the time being settle down occasionally job hunting until regret and that time-wasting sensation come to mind. Realising that people, colleagues and life around you might be happy even if dreams are not being fulfilled just settles oneself down just for the sake of dreaming a good position in that particular sector. Problems start when you also loose that position you fought for the past year, just to let you know you're a good member of staff but we do not need such a valid person anymore.
